A joker in the Hygiene class.....

The class started very calmly and everyone was listening to the old lady babbling in front of the class
"I am a serious hygienist..... DIAPER ZONE (?????) of 400 beds in the hospital is 60 to 300 square meter......bla bla bla......чего смеётесь?(What are you laughing at?)......."
Everyone was tired and wondering why should we study Hygiene and medical prophylaxis subject, which is a total crap.

"SERIOUS HYGIENIST" ........hah, yeah right, serious crap!

Well the aforementioned matter wasn't the bottomline of mine writing this blog. I write this blog as a tribute to the NEW JOKER of the day.

The title of the day was "The Nutritional Assessment and Dietary History - its identification and activity"

Everyone was asked to recopy the form and to fill in the blanks. After filling the "personal details" into the blanks, we had to make a conclusion and give recommendation to the "patient".

So the joker wrote like this

The personal data of his.............this was okay, not stupid enough HAHAHA

The deterioration of the sanity of a good student.........

Way to go ------- HYGIENE!!!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday!!!

Had a fun christmas concert organised by the christian fellowship of foreign students here in NNSMA. They came out with the name "SUMPHERO" which sounds really cool, but i don't really know what does it mean. Anyways it's NOMB coz im not one of them. Nevertheless i really enjoyed the concert.
Well at first, it was fucking boring. Bored out by the singing performance of a series of songs, like a nonstop medley for about an hour. The singers enjoyed themselves so much on stage, praising their lord, and waiting for the crowd to praise on their "lovely" voices. I could sing better, seriously!! HAHA..... While they were enjoying on stage, people who listened starting to get bored. I fell asleep, oops~ The ear torturing singing section ended about an hour, we were so relieved!
However, the best part of the christmas concert was the sketch casting by :
Shariann
David
Eugenie
Soy Yi
Hearsley
Chipo
Apple
Micheal (just to state a few of them)

It was about the God created human(a girl), giving His love, care and happiness to the human. But after the God has left the girl, the devil approached the girl and lead the girl to the wrong path. Sooner later under the influence of the devil, the girl started to possesed with guys, money, drinking, fashion. She was so disappointed upon her doings that she cut herself and attempted to suicide. She took a gun, pointing at her head. She was confused, she hesitated to kill herself, she recalled the God's love to her....Then she started to realise, she should go back to God's side. She tried to run back to the God, but the devil was pulling her back by calling the Desires to stop her from getting back to the God. But the God is pulling her back as well. She tried to run back to the God for a few times but was stopped by the obstacles. She ran but was pushed by her Desires back to the Devil......but she tried really hard and realising the sins that she commited was a big disaster for her, but she never gave up.....she ran and ran and ran.....and then the God came to the rescue, by blocking her away from her Desires. At last, she managed to go back to the God and lived a better life.

Wow.....i wrote a piece of crap but i hope it's understandable......hahaha
But seriously, Shariann which was the girl, was a real actress.......her movements were so graceful. She's one talented actress. My applause for her......*clap clap clap*

After the sketch, the same ol'caroling came on stage and sang....lalalalalalalala
Kinda peaceful when listening to the christmas carols.

Then we had our dinner there in the hall. The curry chicken(Vino's recipe) was finger lickin' good!

But unfortunately the next day, 60% of the people who had had the dinner got serious diarrhoea, which including me......we had the same symptom which was - awaken by the stomach ache from sleep and went into the toilet. At first we had meteorism, which literally means farting. HAHA my junior told me that the fart was smelly (whose fart smells heavenly?)
Then after farting the diarrhoea came.....shooting out from the asshole.....
The toilet has never been so busy in a day before.......HAHAHAHA

Overall, it was a great night to spend boring routine life studying my stupid upcoming exam - The Hygiene

Nothing is more redundant than the subject Hygiene.

My next entry, hopefully, is about Hygiene......Will tell u guys how redundant it is to cause a nightmare for everybody who is studying in NNSMA.

Once again.....MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAY!!!!

Delivery of fetus - Live Show

I don't know whether this is normal or abnormal, but i was truly thrilled during my first live delivery show ever!!!!
LOL
Well, we're lucky coz we're allowed to watch the delivery in the delivery room.

So, we were asked to change into our scrubs and change the shoes as well. The teacher asked one of us to follow her to the delivery room to wait for the signal and call us down from the classroom. Nantha was the representative and followed her downstairs.

The rest of us were chit-chatting in the classroom like nobody's business(though there was a class in the next door). All of a sudden, Nantha called me to go down to standby for the show. So, we rushed down to the corridor and waited there. Nantha was there sitting and waiting for us. And we continued our chat....bla bla bla.....Then Nantha went in and waited in front of the delivery room again.

Suddenly the teacher came furiously and asked us why did we come down. We were stunned coz we didn't know what the fuck was wrong with going down and waiting there. Then she rushed into the delivery room, looking at Nantha with the fierce eyes.

"Am I younger or you are younger?", shouted her at Nantha.
*I think she meant that are we the teacher or is she the teacher*

I, in fact all of us didn't know what the hell is going on. She chased us out from the delivery room and asked us to go back to the classroom and Nantha was again waiting outside the door of the delivery room. We thought we had no chance to watch the process of delivery ever again because we made her mad.

So we waited in the class and she came in and started to discuss about the topics. When we were in the middle of discussion, both mine and the teacher's mobiles rang and i answered the call. Nantha asked me to go down to the delivery room again. And the teacher said so too after answering the call.

Phew~ we thought we'd never watched the process of delivery anymore. So we went down to the delivery room, took off our labcoats and wore the masks on. After that we entered the delivery room and saw a lady sitting on the delivery chair/table. She looked fine and the doctor and midwife and nurses were there talking crap.

So we stood aside watching the lady. She was shy at first and asked the doctor why were there so many young doctors. The doctor told her that we're interested in watching the process of delivery and we'll become doctors one day. There's something funny about the lady because prior to the delivery she asked for her mobile phone. The midwife took away and told her "your phone is with me, i'll give you back after your baby is out"
So she was okay with it and then the process of pushing started.

The process of pushing through was the most stunning part. We're all staring at the vagina and watched the baby's head coming out from the vagina. We're under a great shock. I didn't know why we were like that, but it's really a stressful situation. After the first and the 2nd pushings, the mother didn't seem to want to push anymore but the baby's head if half way out the vagina. Meaning that the baby was having the risk of hypoxia and death subsequently.

So there's nothing much to do than pushing the mother's abdomen manually using the force from the hands. Our teacher went up the chair and pushed her abdomen, and she was there shouting "It's painful!" But that's the only way to do it so that the baby lives. The mother wasn't really keen to deliver her baby. So after the head of the baby was out, the doctor asked the mother to just breathe and do nothing.

So here comes the process of delivering the body of the baby. The mother was once again pushing and the doctor was very rough. She pulled the baby's head out, pulled the both arms out from the vagina, rotating the baby to come out. Wow we were speechless and again shocked. We thought that the head of the baby would break!!!

After a few minutes of struggle, finally the baby was delivered. Our teacher inserted the suction cord into the baby's mouth and pushed the tube down and down and down. We were shocked again. Then after a while the baby started crying and turned from blue to pink. We could see the face of the mother was pale and she was exhausted and panting. The doctor cut the umbilical cord and examined the baby, then she passed to the the paediatrician for the further investigations.

After the delivery, blood was oozing out from the mother's vagina, like a fountain. Stunned mouth opened again. Then it's the time to push again, but that's the 3rd stage of delivery - the delivery of the placenta (the organ of fetus which supplies nutrients and oxygen through mother's blood via umbilical cord). The placenta was very quickly delivered. Then the doctor checked for any deformities upon the placenta because if one fragment of the placenta went missing, there must be a serious bleeding of the mother in the uterus. Fortunately the placenta was fine and all parts were delivered out of the uterus.

Then our teacher asked the doctor to tear one part of the placenta out, the blood was shooting out from the placenta. That's why if one fragment of the placenta is missing, it means there's a hemorrhage in the uterus. The mother could die due to this hemorrhage.

After that we said thank you to the doctos, midwives and nurses there and went back to the room. When we reached the classroom, the teacher started to discuss about the process of delivery. She told us that the mother wasn't keen to push the baby out. She didn't give any expression when the baby was shown to her, only a nod on the head. She didn't even come to the obstetrical department throughout the pregnancy. She came only prior to her delivery.

Bad mother? Superstitious belief?
Not sure why.....

Unfortunately the baby was born with a cleft lip. But the teacher told us that there are many cosmetics surgery which can be done to repair the cleft lip without problems in the baby's future life.

We were quiet a bit when we reached the room coz we're still shocked by the whole process.

But one thing for sure is, this is not an everyday-show. So I'm glad that i could see it for my own eyes........IT'S LIVE, MAN!!!

Mysterious wall-banging sound.....

I was watching the taiwanese program, alone, that night until 4am as i was preparing for the credit test the next morning for internal medicine. A mysterious banging sound on the wall was heard. I figured why someone's knocking against the wall at 4 in the morning. Was it too loud the volume?

So without thinking, I banged back against the wall. At first i thougt the volume was too loud that Wan Ying was disturbed as her bed is put beside the wall. Then, fine, i turned down the volume and continue my studies and program.

After that, the sound came again, so my reflex was banging the wall again. 4am i went to sleep.

The next night, the sound appeared again, banging the wall....so i thought that Wan Ying must be really pissed now coz the intensity of the sound increased.

20/09/2007 10.15pm
To Wan Ying :
"Oi i very noisy meh,why knock wall?"

Then I received the call from Wan Ying after texting her.....

"Hey what were you talking about? I'm not in the room right now, don't frighten me, I'm at Ciou Perng's!!"

Weird, the banging sound I'm sure it's coming from the next door. Strange enough, so i called her to come up and listen.

While waiting for her to come up, i was stunned and sitting in the bed, like a stone watching the program.

Then she came, with the same expression as on phone. "hey are u kidding me, seriously, don't frighten me, i hate people banging the wall!"

"If u don't believe me, u can just sit and listen"

We sat down and waited for a few seconds, and the sound came again "bam bam bam"......

To confirm whether the sound was from he room or not, she asked Chiou Perng to go over to her room and bang against the wall. Yup, it's confirmed that the sound was coming over from her room. And vice versa, i went over to her room and listen whether the sound can be conducted to her room as well. Yup, it could be conducted there.

Weird enough, she told me that maybe there's someone been buried inside the wall facing my room and banged on the wall, in a kidding way of course.

But still the mystery remains unsolved and the sound can still be heard every night.

I hope there's no one being buried inside my wall......Hallelujah

"All-powerful God, pardon all the sins of your unworthy servant. Give me constant faith and power so that, armed with the power of Your holy strength, I can attack this cruel evil spirit in confidence and security..."

HAHA!!!!

Mer-de-ka....I'm-leaving-ya!!!

"MeRdEkA.....mErDeKa.....MERdeka", yelled our PM with his quaking and quacking voice when the clock struck at 00:00 31/8/2007.

(Merdeka = Freedom/Independence in Malay)

Well, it's quite disappointing watching it on TV because it wasn't as happening as last year's. I expected fireworks with colorful flames in the sky of KL, but to my disappointment there wasn't any.....Luckily i got the chance to see it in the sky of my city. I enjoyed the moment when the clock struck on 00:00 coz my family and relatives were together in my livingroom and cheered "Merdeka" following the PM, which afterwards when i thought back was kinda funny. HAHA

Anyway, I was kinda busy that day packing my luggages. What frustrated me was no matter how many things i've reduced from the luggage, the weight weighed the same......funny but weird, so i gave it up and the weight stayed at 31kg. That night i didn't sleep for the whole night, for the reason that my mum didn't wash my 3 clothes, so i gotta wash them myself and blew them dry with my sister's hairdryer LOL....It wasn't my mum's fault actually, I shouldn't started packing on last minute, yeah considered that was my fault. But i still feel mad that why did she forget about the clothes to wash HAHA childish me....

That morning I was supposed to arrive at the airport 2 hours before the departure, guess what i arrive 1 hours before departure. All my friends had already checked in their stuff into the aircraft, luckily a new counter was opened when i was queueing up on the long line. That's my lady luck, hee hee. Ok, after that i had to wait for my relatives and my eldest sister to come because they wanted to send me away, you know, like the old tradition saying goodbye and taking pictures bla bla bla....

Then i ran into the customs checking and ran to the gate. When i was about the step into the gate, my brother called me and said "hey bro, mum is taking your jacket" I was thinking like "what the fuck!". So i ran back to them and took it(i was so furious, lol) go through customs checking again. This time the line was even longer, and yet some aunties were trying to overtake my place. I asked them:" where are u going auntie?" She replied:"To Medan" I asked again:"what time is your flight" She replied:"9.05am" I told her:"mine is leaving in 5 minutes, can i go first?".......Of course she had to let me go first!!!!

Then i ran there again like a mad cow, sweaty and panting.....boarded into the aircraft and flew away to Bangkok.

Reached Bangkok after 3 hours' flight. Had a quickie in the toilet with my juniors, then rushed we go to the boarding gate. During the customs checking some of my juniors had problems with the handcarry luggage and had to threw away some stuff. While i was waiting for them i went to a bench, put my jacket on the bench, kept my passports(with old one just in case) in to my backpack. We went to the boarding gate once everyone had passed the customs. It was a long way to the damned gate, luckily there're escalators to save up our energy. Reached the gate after 8 minutes, went into it and sat down to rest. When it's ready to board into the aircraft I realised that my jacket wasn't with me, it's hanging on the bench earlier......Shit! i went out from the boarding gate and walked as fast as i could with my heavy backpack(running would be hideous haha).....my legs were so exhausted because there's no escalator going the other direction, so i had to walk. Walking took about 13 minutes to reach the bench. I saw 2 Arabians sitting on the bench and i didn't see my jacket. I was so nervous and sad. I approached them and saw one of them leaning on jacket( no wonder i couldn't see it). I asked if that's their's and took it away......Ok another marathon run, 8 minutes to get there, luckily Nantha, Thanam and Sarviss were waiting for me, i felt so happy haha. Sweaty and panting and boarded into the aircraft......

After 9 hours' flight I'm finally in Russia, a place where i have to turn into bookworm.....again another time
